Suppose you increase your walking speed from 7 m/s to 12 m/s in a period of 1 s. What is your acceleration?

    Acceleration = rate of change of speed

    = (12 - 7) / 1

    = 5 ms-2 (answer)

    Final Velocity-Intial Velocity over time so 12-7=5/1second
