Drew is finding the base of a triangle that is 20 m in height and it's area is 100 meters squared he says the base is 5 meters is he correct why or why not

    He is not correct, beacuse the base is 10m

    a = area = 100 m²

    b = base

    h = height = 20m

    a = (b * h) / 2

    we solve b

    (2 * a) / h = b

    we replace the known values

    b = (2 * 100m²) / 20m

    b = 200m² / 20m

    b = 10m

    As we can see he is not correct, since the base is 10m
