Patricia bought a new swimsuit that cost $35. Sales tax is 7.5%. How much did Patricia pay, including sales tax?

    35 * 0.075 = 2.63

    $35 + $2.63 = $37.63

    Whenever you are calculating sales tax, just multiply the cost of the item by the tax (convert the percent to decimal).
