    Divide both sides by 3

    8-4x<2 (x-5)

    distribute

    8-4x<2x-10

    add 4x both sides

    8<6x-10

    add 10

    18<6x

    divide by 6

    3
    x>3

draw a circle around x=3 then shade to the right

    3 (8 - 4x) < 6 (x - 5) ? - 12x + 24 < 6x - 30

    - 12x - 6x < - 30 - 24

    - 18x < - 54. ( - 1)

    18x > 54

    x > 54/18

    x > 3
