How can you eliminate the fraction from each side of the equation to make finding the

solution easier?

The equation is 1/2 (x - 4) = 1/3x + 2

    Hello:

    1/2 (x - 4) = 1/3x + 2

    multiply by : 6

    3 (x-4) = 2x + 4

    solution easier:

    3x - 12 = 2x + 4

    3x - 2x = 12+4

    x = 16
