Two ways in which to do this problem:

    1) Calculate (100% - 15%). Result: 85%. Convert this to the equivalent decimal fraction. Multiply $25 by this result.

    2) Subtract the discount from the regular price: $25 - 0.15 ($25) = ?

Divide this result by the original price ($25). Multiply this result by 100%.

    + Purchase Price = $25

    - Discount (25 x 15) / 100 = $3.75

    = Final Price 25 - 3.75 = $21.25
