Both planes are flying at the same velocity because velocity does not account for direction, therefore the fact that both planes are flying in opposite directions doesn't change the fact that they are both flying at the same speed of 275 km/h.

Velocity = distance / time

Nowhere in the equation of velocity is direction mentioned and thus direction has no bearing on the overall velocity.
