For the function below, find the vertex, the axis of symmetry, the maximum or minimum value, and the graph of the function.

f (x) = x^2+8x+17

    Hello,

    y=x²+8x+17 = (x²+2*4x+16) + 1 = (x+4) ²+1

    Vertex is (-4,1)

    Axis of symmetry: x=-4

    coeff of x² is >0 = = > the vertex is the minimum (x=-4)
