y = - 3/4+25

-3/4 + 25/1

*when there's no denominator, the denominator is one. Multiply the numerator AND the denominator of 25/1, by 4, in order to get:

(-3 + 100) / 4

*Everything is over 4

-3 + 100 = 100 - 3 = 97

97/4

y = 97/4

Y = 24.25 for the question above
