    Area = pi x radius ^2

    3.14 x 6^2

    3.14 x 36 = 113.04

    113.04 / 3 = 37.68

    Area = 37.68

    Area = pi * r^2

    A = pi * 6^2

    A = 36 pi inches squared (for the whole pizza)

    Assuming the slices are equal,

    36 pi / 3 = 12 pi

    Each slice is 12 pi inches squared
