Matt is making cookies. He adds fraction 3 over 4 of a cup of sugar to a bowl. He then removes two fraction 1 over 8 cups of sugar. Which of the following best explains the amount of sugar left in the bowl?

    3/4 is equal to 6/8

    2 1/8s is equal to 2/8

    Subtract:

    6/8-2/8=4/8 simplify (both have a GCF of 4) (4/8) / 4=1/2
