Are the voltages across resistors in series generally the same? if not, are there special cases where they could be the same? explain.

    Resistors in series carry the same current, but the voltage drop across them is not the same as their individual resistance values will create different voltage drops across each resistor as determined by Ohm's Law.

    The only cases when they will have the same voltage is if all of them have the same resistance value, in that case using the Ohm's law they will have the same voltage as they will be having equal amount of current.
