    In orbit, a satellite is completely controlled by the forces of gravity

    between it and the body it's orbiting. That's what keeps it in orbit.

    Without a force constantly drawing it toward the center, it would

    sail off in a straight line.

    Since there is always a force acting on it, its motion is constantly

    accelerated.

    The satellite can be considered a projectile.
