An object moving in a straight line with an initial velocity of 12 m/s is found to be moving at 48 m/s after traveling a distance of 75 m. What was its acceleration in m/s2?

    Change in distance = (velocity final + velocity intial) / 2 * change in time

    75 = (48+12) / 2 * change in time

    Change in time = 2.5s

    Acceleration = (velocity final - velocity intial) / change in time

    Acceleration = (48-12) / 2.5

    Acceleration = 14.4 m/s2
