    m = 0.1 kg

    T₁=20°C

    T₂=100⁰C

    Specific capacity for the gold

    Cp=130 KJ/kgK

    The energy required to raise temperature from T₁ to T₂

    Q = m Cp (T₂ - T₁)

    Now by putting the values

    Q = m Cp (T₂ - T₁)

    Q = 0.1 x 130 (100 - 20) KJ

    Q=1040 KJ

    Therefore the energy required is 1040 KJ.
