an object travels in circular motion with a speed of 11.40 m/s. What is the centripetal acceleration if the radius of the circle is 5.52 m?

    v = speed of the object moving in circle = 11.40 m/s

    r = radius of the circle in which the object move = 5.52 m

    a = centripetal acceleration of the object moving in circle

    centripetal acceleration is given as

    a = v²/r

    where a = centripetal acceleration

    v = linear speed of the object

    r = radius of the circle

    inserting the values

    a = (11.40) ²/5.52

    a = 129.96/5.52

    a = 23.5 m/s²
