    From Newton's second law of motion, force is the product of mass and acceleration. In this item, we are not straightforwardly given the acceleration. To solve for it,

    acceleration = (Vf - Vo) / t

    = (50 m/s - 40 m/s) / (0.008 s) = 1250 m/s²

    Using the equation for force,

    Force = (0.15 kg) (1250 m/s²) = 187.5 kg m/s² = 187.5 N
