If an element has the atomic mass (a) of 80 and its atomic number (z) is 35, how many neutrons does it have?

    Mass number, A = 80

    Atomic number Z = 35,

    Mass Number = Number of Protons + Number of Neutrons

    80 = 35 + Number of Neutrons

    Number of Neutrons = 80 - 35 = 45
