    First, calculate the time it requires for the ball to reach the ground, given that its y-component is similar to that of the free-falling body through the equation,

    d = 0.5gt²

    Substituting the known values,

    1.2 = 0.5 (9.8 m/s²) (t²)

    The value of t is equal to 1.56 seconds.

    To calculate for the range of the given motion, we use the equation,

    R = (Hx) t

    where R is the range, Hx is the horizontal component of the force, and t is the time. Substituting,

    R = (1.5 m/s) (1.56 s)

    R = 2.34 m

    Answer: 2.34 m
