In the textbook we learned the definition of acceleration, a=Δv/Δt, and we learned that the cause of acceleration involves net force, where a=F/m.

Equate these two equations for acceleration and express, for constant mass, FΔt

    The answer is a=Δv/Δt and a=F/m. so a = Δv/Δt = F/m

    and then Δv m = F Δt

    finally F Δt = m Δt (constant mass)
