    Hunger has to do with the desire to consume food which is mainly physiological as sensation of hunger is mostly triggered or initiated when blood glucose level drops. When this occurs, there the feeling one gets when he or she is hungry is physiological as one tends to feel uncomfortable or weak as a result of lack food which results in a drop in low glucose level. This is manifested in the increase desire for one to consume food. When one is not hungry, one experience a state of satiety, that is, one have a sensation of feeling full.

    The best description for hunger is that, it is a physiological desire to consume food as appetite or craving for food increases.

    In the absence of any disease, hunger can be caused if one lacks access to food or one is dieting. One who engages in rigorous exercise or activity would quickly experience hunger also.
