In what way (or ways) is the current knowledge revolution a child of the industrial revolution?

The Knowledge Revolution is the latest phase of capitalism that is dependent on knowledge, information, skills, human capital, intellectual capital, ideas, services, intangibles, brainpower, education and brand names. By its own right, the Industrial Revolution has brought about great technological and industrial advancements that have lead to great technological and industrial innovations, inventions and improvements in quality for a number of products.
