A 0.200-kg cube of ice (frozen water) is floating in glycerine. The gylcerine is in a tall cylinder that has inside radius 3.40 cm. The level of the glycerine is well below the top of the cylinder. First, calculate the volume of 0.200 kg of water: d = m/V

    d = 1 g/cm^3

    m = 200 g

    V = m/d = 200 g / 1 g / cm^3 = 200 cm^3

    Now, calculate the height of this volumen inside a cylinder with inside radius 3.40 cm

    V = π (r^2) * heigth = > height = V / [3.1416 * (3.40cm) ^2]=200 cm^3 / 36.32 cm^2 = 5.51 cm

    Answer: 5.51 cm
