What do most logging methods have in common

All logging methods cause soil erosion. Logging upsets the base of the soil in the forest which in turn damages the roots of the trees. The roots die and break down when they are being damaged which makes the soil become looser. Logging activities also removes the protective coat that covers the forest floor.
