The density of a rock is 3.93 g/ml. if the rock is added to 3.42 ml of water, the level of the water rises to 5.29 ml. what is the mass of the rock?

    Density = mass / volume

    Density = 3.93

    Volume = 5.29 - 3.42 = 1.87

    Mass = x

    3.93 = x / 1.87

    3.93 = 100x / 187

    734.91 = 100x

    7.3491 = x

    Your mass is 7.3491 grams.
