Why did Gandhiji organize Satyagraha in Kheda District

In 1917 Gandhiji led the movement in Kheda district of Gujarat, demanding relaxation of the revenue tax owing to the poverty experienced by the farmers because of the outbreak of plague and crop failure.

The Kheda Satyagraha was started in the Kheda district of Gujarat, by Gandhiji ... Gandhi ji organised this movement to support peasants of kheda district. The peasants of kheda could not be able to pay high taxes of british due to crop failure and plague epidemic.
