    Answer: 3 ounces of nuts

    (1/4) / (1/12) = x / 1 cross multiply

    1/4 = 1/12 x divide both sides by 1/12

    x = 1/4 / 1/12

    x = 1/4 x 12/1

    x = 12/4

    x = 3 ounces of nuts.
